              History of early camp meetings in the Michigan District. This historical sketch by Harold Bugbee documents the beginning of camp meetings at Pennock Grove Campground in 1886 and details the property then the transition to Union Campground in 1904.

              WESLEYAN METHODIST CONFERENCE GROUNDS Cadillac, Michigan. North Michigan Conference of the Wesleyan Church was founded in 1887. There are more than 30 organized churches covering northern lower Michigan from Flint to Traverse City . The grounds cover 20 acres on the north shore of beautiful Lake Cadillac. There is a large Tabernacle also several dormitories and dozens of cottages. Postcards include: Home of the Conference President, Tabernacle, dormitories, and lake Cadillac.
